PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme Implementation in Uttar PradeshThe Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has planned to launch a campaign aimed at ensuring that farmers in the state can benefit from various government schemes, including PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. Joint Agriculture Director Dr. Ashutosh Mishra announced that a farmer registry will be created as part of this campaign, allowing farmers to access the benefits in a transparent manner. The registry under the AgriStack scheme will kick off from December, ensuring that only registered farmers receive the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi funds.

Overview of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi YojanaPM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is a crucial government initiative in India that provides financial support of up to ₹6,000 annually to farmers. Initially targeting small farmers with less than 2 hectares of land, the scheme now includes all farmers across the country. The direct cash assistance aims to support farming needs and is disbursed directly into the beneficiaries' bank accounts. The scheme has been instrumental in providing the necessary financial aid to farmers, helping them sustain their livelihoods.

Objective and Impact of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi YojanaSince its inception, the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana has already allocated around ₹94,000 crore to support approximately 10 crore farmer families. This considerable financial assistance plays a crucial role in uplifting farmer families and providing them with much-needed income support. The scheme, with an annual cost of ₹75,000 crore, is a flagship initiative of the NDA government, aiming to bring prosperity to farmers across the country.

Preparation of Unique IDs for FarmersAs part of the farmer registry initiative in Uttar Pradesh, unique IDs will be generated for all registered farmers. These IDs will contain detailed information about the farmers, including their names, father's names, land holdings, mobile numbers, Aadhaar numbers, and e-KYC details. This unique ID will serve as a crucial document for farmers to access various government schemes in the future. The campaign will be conducted in two phases, with the first phase scheduled to run from July 1 to July 31, engaging local personnel in the process.
