'Give me Rs 20 crore or else…', the person who threatened Goa minister arrested

The Goa Crime Branch arrested a man for threatening Social Welfare Minister Subhash Desai and his family. The accused demanded Rs 20 crore from the minister and threatened to implicate him in a murder case if he did not comply. The accused had verbally abused the minister and his family over the phone, using threatening language.

Minister Subhash Desai lodged a complaint against the accused, stating that he had received objectionable messages on his mobile phone. The police seized the mobile phone of the accused, who was identified as Mithil Ulhas Desai from Sanguem taluka. A case was registered against him under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including extortion, criminal intimidation, and threatening to falsely charge the minister with a serious offense.
