Anita Goyal, the wife of Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal, passed away after battling cancer for a long time. She died in a hospital in Mumbai, with Naresh by her side. Naresh Goyal, who is in jail in a money laundering case, had been given conditional bail to be with his wife during her final moments. They have two children, Namrata and Nivan Goyal.
Following a hearing on May 6, Naresh Goyal was granted two months interim medical bail from the Bombay High Court in the money laundering case. He was instructed to pay Rs 1 lakh along with the surety amount, and was banned from leaving Mumbai. Naresh Goyal himself is also battling cancer, and had pleaded before the court for bail on medical and humanitarian grounds to be with his wife.
