The One Family One Job Scheme 2024 was launched by the central government to provide employment opportunities to Indian families, especially targeting educated teenagers from single families without any government sector employees. The aim is to reduce unemployment and promote financial stability among economically weaker sections of society. The scheme was first implemented in Sikkim and is planned to be rolled out nationwide by 2024.

To be eligible for the One Family One Job Scheme, families must not have any existing government job, and applicants must be between 18 to 55 years old, native residents of India, and have income and caste certificates. Only one person per family is allowed to apply, and required documents include Aadhar card, educational qualification certificates, passport size photos, mobile number, ration card, income certificate, and address proof.

The benefits of the scheme include providing employment based on the candidate’s preferred field, government subsidies, and benefits, along with a two-year examination period to assess performance. Upon satisfactory completion of the probation period, selected candidates will receive permanent positions with a monthly salary according to the prescribed pay scale. Over 12,000 youth have already received official appointment letters through the scheme, and the government plans to provide more online application links and expand the program nationwide.
