Big news for central employees, dearness allowance will be 55% from July 1

The central government has announced that the dearness allowance of central employees will increase once more in July 2024. This increase will come into effect on July 1, following a previous 4 percent increase in January, bringing the total DA to 50 percent. This adjustment ensures that employees in different city categories receive fair housing subsidies based on their location. The increase in HRA rates reflects the government’s commitment to supporting employees in securing adequate housing and maintaining a good quality of life.
